Quick update...Long day yesterday for our little man. He was up after a dose of Tylenol w/codeine for about 30mins to play w/ his Chicago buddy. After she left his little mind and heart want to stay in the playroom and play, but his little body needed a rest. He was determined to stay, but stopped for a second to lay his head on my leg and almost immediately was out. He spent the rest of the day sleeping. At this point rest is good, sleeping through the pain and allowing his body to work hard healing.
Today he started the morning with a little fever, but a dose of meds and a quick nap gave him a little burst of energy. He was up and colored a picture. Finished his first picture and has now started throwing up. Back to resting for now!

So happy to hear that surgery went well and Wes is doing good! Thank God!!! Praying for quick healing for little Wes.... and for peace for his wonderful parents.

Are you still at the hospital? I thought I understood that you all were free?? Sorry to hear Wes is running fever. Rest is a good thing. Hope he feels better soon!

We Were glad to hear that Wes had done okay with surgery. I know that it a load off your minds. I pray he makes his usual "bounce back". He is alittle trooper but so are his parents. We enjoyed the weekend with Chase and Brandon. They had a blast with Bailey and Brycen. We love you guys.

He has guided the steps of his mother and father giving you wisdom to make the best decisions for your "little man". He sent us Wes to bring us joy and compassion and to also show that He still is in the miracle making business. Give my little man a kiss, I can't wait to see you all.\

Our little man

Our amazing little man, Wes, was born March 17, 2006 weighing 7 lbs and 19 1/2 inches long. He has those type of blue eyes that I could get lost in. Weston is such a happy little guy, bringing a smile to some many. He gets his share of looks and stares, not at his scar, instead at the warmth in his big beautiful blue eyes and loving smile that lights up the room. Eveyone who meets him is amazed by his personality. Look at him with a smile and he is going to shine one back at you. When you look at him feeling a little blue, he shines one on you with big hugs and slobby kisses. I look at him and all I see is love. He is my heart,this little guy completes my life and our family. At times I am filled with fear, as my heart aches realizing the pain and unknowns he must face, then I am totally consumed and uplifted by his strength and love. He is cherished by many that have been touched by this little ball of energy. He has away of reaching in and grabbing your heart. He is completely surrounded by love that fills his life!
Wes has faced a difficult journey, yet with love and support of so many he remains such an amazing little guy. He has been diagnosed with cleft lip and palate, basal encephalocele, hypertelorism, nystagmus, septo optic dysplasia, ranthke's cleft cyst, reflux, obstructive sleep apnea, heart murmur...undergone 8 surgeries, 7 MRI’s and 2 ct scan w/spinal taps under full anesthesia, 2 spinal taps, and numerous other procedures and test.
